When in the alphabetic keyboard, hold the .?123 button down - slide to the , - or whatever you are after - let go on it - and that punctuation (number - whatever) is selected and you are returned to the alphabetic keyboard.

Yes, there is. Convince Apple to stop making the iPhone a wildly successful product.

Good luck with that.

um... well...er...other than THAT, what did you think of the play, Mrs. Lincoln?

You know... one or two people really DID just get started with iPhones in the last few weeks, especially with the $99 promo that AT&T ran on their website thru the end of December.

Not everybody who reads here has been around since the days of Conflict Catcher v. System 7 (that just NEVER got old!!)

I have no problem with these articles. I've had my iPod Touch since July and this article (and the comments) gave me two tips that I hadn't previously discovered.
Thanks.

I agree. I've been a Mac user since 1985, but just got my first iPhone and found this article to be very useful.

I thought this offered some good info. I've had my iPhone about a month.

BTW, how does one engage cap-locks when typing on the iPhone? Cheers.

To enable CAPS LOCK, simply double-tap the shift icon. You'll notice that the icon turns blue indicating that CAPS LOCK is enabled. To disable, single tap the shift icon.

Note: CAPS LOCK needs to be enabled by going to Settings >> General >> Keyboard.

I was a new iPhone user and I found this website that had a great tip guide for new and seasoned users. You can get the guide for free just for signing up to their newsletter. Check out http://www.iphonedownloadworld.com and signup to get the great guide "15 tips and tricks for your iPhone"

Nice post. Do you know if there is a similar resource for owners of the iPod touch?

I'm not to sure if there is an iPod Touch resource like the 15 tips for your iphone, but I feel that some of the tips would work for both the iTouch and iPhone... there are things about battery life, syncing, wi-fi, etc...
