iTunes Store goes DRM-free

Quite common, either close iTunes, then re-open, also make sure Bonjour service is running (if not, iTunes doesnt always let you know that the service isnt running, also, if it isnt, and you click OK to the iTunes warning, iTunes will still open up, but the lack of Bonjour will not allow you to discover other users on a network - nor you to them - and the store information will not download (another reason your purchases "disappear")). If not Bonjour, start it. Reboot can also fix the whole issue. Also, possible upgrade iTunes to current version (if older) will fix it (you would also get a new Bonjour if needed, as well).

The non-DRM'd songs will ONLY be availble for download (they arent merely converted, btw) to the computer that you are on at the time you ask for the upgrade. Sure you will now be able to copy them, but if you want those upgraded versions on the other accounts, you will have to do it manually.

So you have spent around $2100.oo on songs. OK. Are you bragging, because I cant see how already having spent 2000 or more that 700 additional would be a burden.
Seriously? You don't see how plunking down $700 is a burden after spending $2,100 over 6 years for songs?

The 6 year thing is bogus. It has more to do with, the more popular (most searched for) will be higher the new releases will be higher (except for specials), along with all music videos (no matter the popularity). 99c will be re-relases, compliations, classical (long) pieces, and 69c for most all the rest (iow, all the junk - like cover bands crappimg all over Led Zep or the Beatles, of which iTunes will still never sell)

YEs, there is a way to pick and choose - its called the checkbox next to each song in the Purchased list (or any list, doesnt really matter), check them all, and all will be converted. It's that simple.
Also, the next upgrade of iTunes will automatically ask you if you want to upgrade whenever you :
1. Chose a song to "Convert to MP3" or
2. Play a song that hasn't been upgraded yet.

That's simply wrong. iTunes doesn't look at your library, it looks at your purchase history.
