Does anyone know if this is compatible with the original iPhone? I can't think of any reason that it would be ok for the 3G and not ok for the original but they only have iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2nd gen at the top of the site.

I'd like to clarify something that was said in the podcast. Somebody mentioned that the Scoche Passport adapter only moves the power from the Firewire pins to the USB pins. It does more than that. Firewire power is 12V, whereas USB power is 5V. The adapter has to regulate the 12V down to 5V in addition to pushing it over to the USB power pins. This likely explains the bulkiness of the adapter.
