Let's hypothesize that Jobs doesn't return in June after all; his health is fine but he's discovered that a life of leisure is his new passion. (Yeah, I don't see Jobs lolling about on a beach, but this is hypothetical, remember?)
The real test for Apple in that case would start to happen in 2-3 years, I'm guessing, when the current Jobs-overseen pipeline has been cleared out.
People who think June will bring about the demise of Apple probably also think that the company designs and builds everything a few days before they're announced.

Oh! C'mon, Mr. Jobs is rich and young! He is probably with the best doctors, in the best hospital, with the best care. And he is not that old, I think he would be fine soon. (and who know maybe enough time resting would give him the time to think in new concepts and ideas)

There were no replacements for Lincoln, or either Roosevelt. Look what we got. No one replaces Jobs in the long run.

I don't mean to sound like a wet blanket, but the pancreas is a critical part of the human body, and diabetes and various other endocrine system problems can be very debilitating and often fatal,no matter what your age, and despite the best efforts of the best doctors. I hope Steve Jobs gets well - as I'm sure we all acknowledge, his importance to Apple is secondary to his health.

To carry on the baseball metaphor...
iPhone and iPod Touch - Home Run
Canceling Mini with no replacement. - Steeerike!
No matte screen option. - Steeerike twoooo!
Dropping Firewire. - Steeeerike three, you're OUT!
That's one run, with two batters left to go.

When did Apple cancel the Mini with no replacement?
