If you have dozens of messages in a folder, you have to select each one to delete. I was looking for functionality like you have when deleting the trash - a "Delete All" button. Not a big issue, just a small way to make mailbox cleanup easier.

What about a complimentary bar of chocolate haha.
I would like to see....
1. Horizontal text messaging
2. Bluetooth
3. Copy & paste facility.

Hey! I agree with most of u, but miss a few things that one find in most phones today.
What about the ability to send and receive business-cards via sms or blue-tooth from any other mobile phone (and then not only in-between iPhones)! This has been a standard for tens of years in mobile phones!!!! ;-)
My list:
1. Flash support!
2. Cut 'n paste
3. Push notification
4. Extended bluetooth functionality
5. The ability to run programs in the background
6. Landscape-view when writing sms or E-mail
7. Turn by Turn GPS
8. MMS functionality
9. The ability to send and receive business cards
10. Forwarding of sms messages
11. The ability to use the iPhone as a modem!
12. Global search functionality ( Spotlight )
13. Video conference
Apple has done a great job with the iPhone, them being a new player on the mobile phone market and all. Evidence of this is seeing all old players (manufactures) trying to copy the wonderful feeling of the phone and it’s GUI.
But Apple, please at least implement the most fundamental things in the list above :-)

See story in today's NY Times about AT&T's struggles to keep up with 3G users as it is, with a planned 10B investment in infrastructure. Adding video messaging to the iPhone along with some of these other data-intensive items all at once will lead to more customer dissatisfaction, not less.

Last I heard, Adobe was nowhere near ready with Flash, but Apple had given the go-ahead. Wrong? Ploy to maintain a suprise announcement?

How about a big antenna that attaches to the roof of the car?

I'd like to see the mail application password protected. I lock my phone only because I have my emailed linked to it.
If I didn't have my email on my phone- I really wouldn't need to lock it.
Also MMS would be good.
If they could add a video camcorder to it using the existing camera that'd be cool too, but I don't know if that is possible.
I'm just excited for the 3rd iPhone to come out- whenever that may be.

I don't think the on screen notification is necessary... it already vibrates or rings briefly when you do get an email. And if you were to go about and implement this, you would have to be modify it... I mean some people would be unable to use their phone purely because so they get so many emails (and therefore notifications).

A Maps app that allows you to modify the route--e.g., the equivalent of click-dragging the route like the browser-based Google Maps allows. Or giving you two alternate routes to choose from.
