As an aside, to show how well the new iMacs are going down here in Australia, all refurbished models have totally disappeared from the Apple Store and are unavailable for love nor money.

I see a cold wind and lots of dead leaves swirling through wherever Macs are sold for sometime to come.

I won't hold my breath waiting for Apple to get real. I've seen this all before.

I have my 2nd iMac-24 with the 4850 graphics card.

I sent the first one back because white lines would sometimes appear on the display.

The second one has the same problem. I don't know if its caused by the graphics board, drivers or something else and so far Apple doesn't know what the problem is.

I am hoping they examine the unit I sent back and find the problem. It may be difficult because the problem might not appear for days. It disappears on shutdown and then might not show up again for days.
