Has anyone used MacPracice MD? I'm currrently evaluating EMR's for my group Ob/Gyn practice (9 docs, 12 practitioners, infertility) and this seems like a good, less expensive solution. Is it standards based? Is it a complete, all in one solution? How well will it eliminate paper from my office? Any 'insider' information would be appreciated.

I haven't tried MacPractice, since I'm already committed to the free, open-source EMR I'm using, Cottage Med. Since it's made by volunteers, it's a bit rougher, but is easily modified since it runs in FileMaker Pro (which you would have to pay for). At this point, with a few years' info in this EMR which suits all my needs I'm no looking to switch to another EMR.
When I was looking at EMRs, I found most of them overpriced and ungainly. As for this one, I'd say to try it out: you never know until you try it and the joy of never having to find a chart and no room full of paper charts is indescribable.
