I have a MBP too, but not really noticed anything (as I usually don't) however, I did notice when I updated the G4 iBook which I use to feed the AppleTV, the update was only 230mb, so must be different updates for one or the other.. unless it's cos I don't have the iLife suite on the iBook?

Upgrading from 10.5.6 on my iMac was a scary experience today. After the installation and initial reboot, the computer became stuck in an endless loop of cycling blue screens with varying shades of blue, with appearing and disappearing gear icon. I let this go on for 15 minutes before becoming very discouraged. A forced shut down with the power button and restart resulted in a message indicating that "boot caches are being updated, restart will occur automatically"... A third reboot appears to have resolved any issues and booted normally. I hope this is the only excitement that occurs for me with 10.5.7. OK, ok, if Apple finally fixed the numerous bluetooth issues (keyboard and mouse freezing etc...) with 2009 imacs I will be very excited. Only took endless months of frustration.
As a side note, I have used Mac OS X since 10.1, and this is the ONLY TIME a routine point update has ever caused a similar issue for me. Scary!

I also had a disconcerting combo upgrade. After installation but before rebooting, the Macbook was apparently stuck with the rotating gear appearing and disappearing many times. I shut down with the power button and then, after restarting, waited a very long time for two auto-reboots before the desktop appeared. A shaky start. Like Sklaaddict, this is the first time I've experienced a "minor" update problem.

My G5 Dual-Core Intel Xeon burped once after installation. Restarted a second time. I see nothing that doesn't work.
I downloaded an update couple days ago also, updated printer drivers etc. Totally stopped my ability to print to Epson R1900. Removed every instance of Epson I could find and reloaded the driver for OS Version 10.5. I can print from everything but PDF. That has been screwed up for more than a month now, nothing fixes it other than printing from Preview.

No installation problems on my iMac 3.06GHz.
I use a MS Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000, and it was problematic after a restart in the the system often had trouble finding it. Not so now with 10.5.7. I just left mouse click to wake it up and it's there. I don't even get the Bluetooth Assistant starting up. That's nice. Nice little 3-button mouse which I need for Luxology Modo, BTW.
I think I'm also noticing no more Helvetica font conflicts with Extensis Suitcase Fusion 12.1.7!!! Yayyyyyyyyyyyyy!!! What a pain that was!
