Hahaha, and I thought you were .....oh well, I better not say, since you were joking. LOL

But seriously, it seems somewhat warmer. It could be my imagination. Otherwise it's running fine.

I'm sure it's possible. These contraptions do strange and mysterious things at times.

Everything downloaded fine. I installed 10.5.7 and it seemed to go fine, at first. The system is stable. I have a Quad 2.5 GHZ PPC G5 with 4.5 GB RAM.
But during the course of working, some keys seemed to "stop working". I thought my keyboard was faulty. I couldn't get the Application Switcher to work, when you press CMD Shift to toggle between open applications. Also, I toggle between open windows in an application with CMD ` That also stopped. I've hunted through the keyboard shortcuts in System Settings, but nothing has fixed it. Help! I NEED my Application Switcher. My mighty mouse seems to have stopped working properly too! The left and right clicks work, as well as the wheel, but the other clicks have stopped. I've reassigned them, but still nothing. I NEED my other clicks!

Good point made on the Safari 4 Beta upgrade, only noticed that after reading this post. Looking into the security updates hope there was nothing major.

I doubt there is much temp difference between day and night unless you use it in the sunlight:)

My daughter's Mac Book Pro averages 55 to 63 degrees centigrade all the time. She has it on a fan cooling unit when possible.

"I couldn't get the Application Switcher to work, when you press CMD + Shift to toggle between open applications."

Do you mean 'Command + Tab'?

Well, deserts can vary 50˚ F between night and day. While drinking a cold beer. In your underwear.

Yup. Command + Tab.

I did a re-install of 10.5.7 and now it all works! Strange. I'm looking out for a new bug to emerge...

My other Mac (early 2008) got VERY hot and there were quite a few problems. It was replaced with a late 2008 an this one stays pretty cool. It just seemed a little warmer the night after I installed the upgrade. Maybe I was just paranoid, it is fine now.

Give it time. If there's one thing Apple has in common with MicroSoft, it's giving us those little critters when we least expect it. They don't want us to get too complacent.

On my MacBook 1.67GHz PPC G4 laptop the install of the new os 10.5.7 update went smoothly however I have noticed some graphics issues as well as firefox 3.0.10 and safari 3.2.3 getting hung up or even crashing a few times. I am not happy with the way the graphics look in my Sims 2 game and the game seems to run slower as well. This, however, may be due to the fact that my hard drive only has 2.41 Gigs left on it. I need a new 'puter.

Does anyone have an answer as to why the graphics in the game " The Sims 2" would look so different?

You should have had some trouble with graphics while only having a couple gigs of space on your HD, surprised you didn't notice some "defigilties" before loading the new update.

Also: How much ram do you have?

Updated my new MacBook with the Combo upgrade. Worked as smooth as silk, no multiple boots necessary.
