Well, hope he's fine. Don't push too hard Steve, I know too well what working 70 hours a week can do to somebody.

This story is all over the internet this morning but, so far, only one source is quoted (WSJ). More will be revealed.

The New York Times reported this over two months ago...

Best wishes for a full, quick and relatively painless recovery.

@scottmyers - Care to source that claim? Jobs having a liver transplant is big news. My quick search (New York Times Steve Jobs Liver Transplant) led to an article referencing the WSJ article. Had the grey lady reported this, it would have made news.
On topic, I hope the best for Messr. Jobs. All the kvetching aside, Apple was fading into oblivion prior to his return. I say this as someone who used his roommate's fat Mac (that's the 512KE) in college and whose first computer was a Mac SE (double disk drive, couldn't afford the 20MB hard drive). Absent Apple, our choices would be Linux or Windows. Jobs has a legacy few could match.

Yea, with command line interfaces, no GUI.

What kind of environment do we live in that requires that a "mogul" has to B.S. his way through the corporate world to keep from rocking the fing economic boat just because he's FU_G vulnerable like the rest of us mortals??!. This is nothing less than testimony to the immorality of greed that is Wall Street!

It's rumored that he received the release version 1.0 of Apple's iLiver. Makes Microsoft's version of the liver, "Ziver" obsolete overnight.
Lines are already forming at Apple clinics as we speak.

Glad he's doing well.
He should be happy that his insurance plan didn't lock him into one substandard care provider. That would be bad.

Without Apple in the picture, its unlikely Windows would exist, at least not in its current form. The world would probably be running DOS v12. But point well taken anyway.

@SJ- get well man. Glad to hear you're on the road to full recovery.

Heh. Somehow I don't think that was a problem.

You understand that I was making a comparison to the iPhone/AT&T deal, right?
