Your Entourage database probably isn't being backed up because Entourage has the file locked for writing when TimeMachine goes to back it up. There is no point trying to backup a file that's locked for writing since you'd most probably just be backing up a corrupted version of the file.

I excluded the Entourage database from Time Machine backups because each individuaL message changes the huge message database and Time Machine spends much of its time backing up a multi-gigabyte file that has often changed by only a couple hundred kbytes.
I schedule the MS DB to back up separately once a week and leave messages on the server for thirty days so nothing is lost even if there is a problem in the interim.

This kind of App is definitely a gem... but there is a free one already around, and seems to work exactly the same! It does take a little time to display your backups (but I think that is a Time Machine issue, especially with Wireless).

I tried to purchase BackupLoupe, and was taken to a PayPal page which was in German. When I tried to translate the page with Google, I was told that the URL is invalid. I like the program, but an fearful of entering my password to PayPal on a page that I can not verify as valid. What to do?

Regarding my earlier comment about the PayPal page being in German:
I did find a workaround and also contacted the developer.
I was able to access the PayPal page in English by clicking on Kaufabwicklung fortsetzen on this German page which took me to another page with a form. I then entered USA where it asks for Land. This took me to an English page which I then used to enter my username and password to pay. I subsequently received an email from PayPal indicating that the transaction had taken place.
I contacted the developer of the software to tell him about my problem. He emailed me quickly to say that he was working on getting the PayPal page to display in English. He sounded sincere and I am not concerned that his site is a scam.
