Based on the thumbnails of the effects from their web page, 80% of this stuff you can do directly in Photoshop, and without much extra effort. Also some of the effects seem a bit "cheesy" for lack of a better word. The fire, rain, snow effects might be useful and offer the same kind of results you'd get in AE with the built-in plugins....
