The original install disks for my HP 660c Printer are bad and I want to install it on my laptop to work with 9.2.1. When I try to install from the driver download off HP my Bronze laptop does not see the printer.

How can I install without the original disks? Also does the HP 660c even work with OS 9.2.1?

Thanks.

Two questions:

1. The Deskwriter 660c must be connected to a Mac serial printer port. Your "Bronze Keyboard" Powerbook does not have a serial printer port (don't confuse its S-video port for a serial port). You need to be using a USB-to-serial adapter to connect this printer to your Powerbook - is that what you are doing?

2. To use this printer with MacOS 9.x, you need to install the latest driver from HP's web site AND you also need to download and apply the "DeskJet and DeskWriter Driver Patch Application" also available from HP's web site.
