So OS X has been giving me nothing but gried for the past week..... But, now that I got everything fixed with a friggen reinstall, terminal isn't working right. When I type in the telnet command it tells me the command doesn't exist. Which is funny since it existed before I reinstalled Jaguar (x.2.3)....
Any ideas? The only thing I've tried was deleting the two pref. files associated with terminal.... Not luck with that....

If you type "/usr/bin/telnet" does that work? If so, the problem is your default PATH envioronment variable has changed.

Nope... no worky: /usr/bin/telnet: Command not found

Did you use any customization options when doing the installation. E.g., did you omit the BSD packages?
How about the other internet programs, e.g. /usr/bin/ftp, /usr/bin/ssh, /usr/bin/finger... ? Are they installed?
