I have set up my iMac (os 10.2.4) to share its internet connection over airport using 128 bit encryption (software base station). Everything works fine with my iBook but, I cannot get my laptop to connect. It is using a Netgear pc card 802.11b wireless network card. Any help would be appreciated.

ok - I've narrowed it down to the 128 bit wep encryption. can somebody help me figure out how to have my pc laptop connect to my airport network (sharing internet connection through iMac - software basestation)?
Thanks,
Andrew

What OS are you running on the PC. Make sure the Wireless settings on the PC are configured as an infastructure network (not ad-hoc). Also check to make sure the PC is set to use a dhcp server. I cannot give you any details on the WEP until I know your OS. Hope I could help!! /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks for the help! Actually the problem turned out to be that I needed to use a hexadecimal password literal on the pc - which the mac creates from the mac network password.
I appreciate your post!
