I am looking for an external Hard drive for file storage. A stupid question...can the drive be used for both PC and mac files (such as documents, video, etc) and thus can be moved between macs and pcs and still be recoginized by both?
thanks

iThink this question has been asked and answered recently - a search will prove this to be true. iBelieve it is possible and involves formatting under Windows as NTFS (don't hold me to that thou').
If you've no joy with the search, you could try Apple's Forum and KB sections.

Try formatting to FAT32, the PC and MAC should read it.

FAT32 would be the best choice.
