OS X.2 install question?

I have a Biege G3 300, 256mb, OS X.1.5 and would like to update to X.2 can it be done? I have had no luck and am not sure if it will work on a G3 300 even though it says it will. Has anyone got it to work? Can it be done? Can someone point me in the right direction.? Thanks in advance.

How are you trying to upgrade? What CD do you have? There is no reason it shouldn't work (it is supposed to work on any G3 or above). However, if you're trying to download the most recent updater for Jaguar, that won't work because Jaguar was a paid OS upgrade and must be preinstalled for an update to work.
