Hello
I would just like to now other people thougts on the Intel Centrino.
the first thing i thought was, Apple already has this built into ALL thier product range, from desktop to laptop.
Also I think that the future for Apple has to colabaration with the IT industry, i think they are working on it, maybe not out of choice but because they have to. For Apple to surive it HAS to work with other compannie or another campanny with come along with a better product.
The IT worlds view of Apple has to change, i was at the pub last night and this guy said he hated Macs, so I asked what he hated about them, I said have you ever used one, he said no, So i stopped the conversation there.
What do you Guys think about Apple and Mobile technologhy as Apple is the one who normally introduced it, then other PC makers come along and take the idea.
It's like Newton in 93 now ten year later people are actually thinking that being able to write on a screen and have it turned to text is a good idea.
My friend who is a student had a compaq tablet Pc and it works just ike the Newton interm of Handwriting technology.

Well I think Apple does work with others. It just turns out they don't work with groups that are tied to their own standards. Even with AMD chips, they have to design chips that are compatible with certain Intel chip instructions. Apple probably views this as strong armed colaboration.
Slightly off topic but...
I think the reason people hate Mac so much is because of what happened in our schools. We got all the older, slower stuff and that's what stuck with people. All the computers they got for themselves were PCs (probably due to price) and significantly newer than the models at school. So I guess a lot of us had a bad taste in our mouths because of the dated stuff the school used and the constant bombardment of information on us to turn us away from the Mac.

Quite frankly I get pissed every time I see those comercials. Awesome... now we finally have Intel to come up with wireless computing. Not that I am sitting on a couch right now using said wireless computing which has been built into almost all Apple products.
If it was only Intel alone I could understand that, but then I look at the Wired Magazine supplement covering wireless technology and the ONLY time Apple is mentioned is when they show a photo of an AirPort base station (the old one, too). What's up with that? Shouldn;t they have heard about those iBooks and PowerBooks?
Other than that I could not care less. As long as it is compatible with my company of choice (or rather theirs is with the innovation Apple has been pushing) I will be content.
