20" Display and the 17" PB

Hi I'm just wondering, hopefully I'll be getting my hands on a 17" PB and the 20" dislpay soon but when it comes to powering using the dvi to adc connector will this be what powers the Display or can you use a DC adapter or something, secondly using the adapter can you still use the two usb ports or not, thanks /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
