does anyone believe that?
first what are those buttons all about? doesn't make much sense to me.
secondly, Toshiba has not mentioned a 15GB HD, though a new 40 Gig model. AFAIK Toshiba and Hitachi are the only manufacturers of such devices. I read articles about 20 and 40 Gig Hitachi drives.
why make a 15Gig platter when they can squeeze 20 Gig on it?
my 2cents

Well, as it states IN THE ARTICLE, the four buttons are the Previous, Play/Pause, Next, and Stop buttons that previously were around the scroll wheel/pad. I think it would make them easier to use. You're less likely to disturb the scroll pad reaching for them.
The dock's a good idea, too. Apple must have gone 'hmmmm' when that one guy had problems finding his iPod on his desk and invented a stand, which he started selling on an eBay store. It's too bad they don't put a headphone connector in the dock, too. Kinda like the iTrip, so you could feed the iPod to speakers but that would mean having it sit on it's head, making the display hard to read. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
Hey Apple! How about a stereo line-out on the bottom of the unit to go with the Firewire port there.

30GB is a lot of storage - I know we could all use it to carry around data, movies, etc, but maybe it is a little overkill?
I have a 5GB iPod and it sure is light, but not as light as would be nice. I'd hate to imagine the weight of a 30GB iPod in comparison with the 5GB. Sure the interest will be there for a lot of portable music mongers after a bit of file backup, but just quietly, I'll be holding onto my 5GB. t does the job quiet nicely. I think Apple would be silly to axe it from their line of iPods, and if they do, they should definitely keep the 10GB there...

I rarely handle 2.5 inch drives, but in 3.5 inch drives I don't notice weight difference per MBs or GBs. They all feel like they weigh the same. I don't think a platter more or less can be felt. Capacity mainly depends on how close the tracks are, not?
Looking at the iPods, there's .7 ounces difference between the 10 & 20 gig ...
As far as 15 gig? I'don't think that'll happen, why go inbetween 10&20??

Bluetooth for wireless headphones, yes indeed! It's the one thing I can't stand about all portable music devices is all the headphone cables. I mean of all companies I would have thought Apple would tackle this issue since they are so driven by function and design. I have an original 5 gig model then went and bought the remote and found the set of earphones included have the same length cable as the non-remote earphones. I have to tie up the cable in an ugly knot so that I don't have trails of cable wrapped up in a pocket.
