Hi, my ethernet port broke on my ibook...and apple calims i was abusive to the machine
so it is not covered by apple care...of course...this is untrue...i treated the ibook like a gem...anyhow...I need to get another ethernet port working on my ibook...
Does anyone know of any USB ethernet adapters that work with mac os x?
Or any firewire ethernet adapters? Is it possible to find a acaple that has an ethernet side and a firewire side and then somehow use ethernet over firewire to create a connection to my dsl modem??
Thanks John

You should call Apple again. I've had Apple tell some of my clients this in the past and sometimes being more persistent can get Apple to listen to you. If you truly did not abuse your computer to cause the ethernet port to go bad, then Apple should cover this under AppleCare.
