Okay, so I'm looking for a good joystick as a companion to Warbirds III. (Well, without having to spend $200, anyway.) Can anyone direct me to a precise and authentic joystick - must be a pivoting joystick (i.e. rudder control), and I'm looking for a really good feel, and complete functionality (I'm a pilot, so I don't want to be hurting for lack of controls /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif). I just purchased the Logitech Wingman 3D Force Feedback, and - aside from the fact that it causes Warbirds III to not run in OS X - the motion feels so sloppy in the center, I never know when the thing is neutral. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Did you find a joystick yet? From the date of your post, I would guess yes.
I just bought a Logitech Freedom 2.4 cordless joystick to use with Falcon 4.0
I've had falcon for several years now and hardly played it because I bought a newer Mac which did not have ADB support.
Just curious as to what stick you bought

I ended up with a Saitek Cyborg. I don't particularly care for the button layout, but the accuracy and feel of the joystick are excellent, and that's really what I needed. It's amazing the difference it makes in a realistic sim like WarBirds - with the Logitech Wingman with the woefully sloppy center, I spent all my effort to just takeoff uneventfully (and for a licensed pilot this is a very disconcerting thing); the Cyborg, on the other hand, has a very clear center, good range of motion, and above all else, is accurate. The base is a tad light for the strength of the pivot spring, but I guess we can't have it all for $40... /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I was going to buy that same stick but they didnt have it in stock at best buy when I returned the Saitek X45. I ended up with the Logitech Freedom 2.4 cordless joystick. Works well
Glad to hear you found one that worked
