For several weeks, I have been unable to get Mail or Netscape to send attachments over about 60 Kb using Jaguar. Heretofore with OS 10.1.5, I had been sending attachments up to almost 5 MB without a problem. Now, I get a message that the SMTP server is busy or refuses to take my attachment. I have backed up, wiped the HD, made new partitions for 9 and 10, run all the diagnostics like first aid, Norton, and Disk Warrior, etc. I still cannot send a photo or other file over about 60 Kb as an attachment. Photos sent by iPhoto as email also hit this snag.
My wife's iBook sends attachments on OS 9.2.2 without problem. Today, I set up Netscape on my Partition 9 and sent a 1.88 MB file,as well as several about a third that size. No problem. I am using a dialup connection with a flat screen iMac, 512 RAM, 800 mHz speed.
I hesitate to jump on my ISP, since both my wife and I can send attachments on OS 9, but I cannot on OS 10.2.4. That rules out me using my homepage on .Mac.
Can anyone explain/cure this behavior with attachments that seems to be unique with OS 10 (Jaguar)?
Thanks

OS 9 does; OS X (Jaguar) doesn't/won't
