I recently purchased a Powermac G4 DP 867MHz and love it. Although i noticed that the IE quits unexpectedly, quite often actually. I'm not sure if it's because i updated OSX from 10.2 to 10.4 (i think that's the versions)
Has anyone else experienced this?

What? A Micro$oft program that quits unexpectedly? How unheard of... /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I would suggest trashing IE and trying Mozilla , Safari , or Camino. Any of them will give you a more pleasing experience than the dreaded IE.

I heard Safari has glitches and bugs as well and is not a stable browser, anyone with browser experience?

Safari crashes? It has never done so for me. The only bugs I've had to report for v .60 are unneeded error messages (I get a message and then the browser plays the java anyway) and maybe a few sites that don't seem to display correctly; but they may have been badly designed.
My son seems to like Camino. I like the URL display and Google bar in Safari.

Safari is no more unstable than Internet Explorer, but it is still a beta, as is Camino (which I frequently use with no problems). If you want to shy away from beta software, which is understandable, then Mozilla is the way to go. Another nice one is Opera.
As for the second part of your post, I do have browser experience, which is why I recommended the three browsers. Do as you wish.
