Cant re-install jaguar. please help

I am trying to reinstall jaguar b/c of a few software problems that i dont feel like fixing. Whenver i put the restore cd in it starts up fine, then i get to the boot panel for about a second or so, then the screen goes totally black and in white writing it says that it cant re-install jaguar because of some error. Does anyone know whats going on and how I can fix this? thanks

i dont remember the exact message but it basically said that there was an error in trying to reinstall and that i need to restart the computer.
