iLife/iDVD question

I have just installed a Pioneer A05 dvd-r drive. I also purchased iLife. Because I did not have a dvd drive installed when I installed OS 10.2, i obviously do not have apple's dvd installed. When I install iDVD, will it install the player? or will i have to extract the player from the 10.2 install discs....or is there some place I can download it from?

i believe you have to extract it from the install CD. I believe idvd doesn't have the player.
