I used the scrapbook extensively in the old OS and really miss it in OSX. Has anyone found an acceptable substitute for it? Stickies doesn't do it for me. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

www.pth.com -- PTHPasteboard. 20 or more separate clip bins for the clipboard, but you can also create permanent clipboards == scrapbook. Free.

I would suggest StickyBrain version 2 from the Chronos software website. It's not free but pretty powerful, because you can set up your own categories, and capture text to them through the contextual menu.

If you are still running Classic OS9, you can still use the Scrapbook in OSX. While running OSX, open your OS9 System Folder, locate the Scrapbook and drag it to your OSX Dock. With an icon in the Dock you can now access the Scrapbook just like you would access any other item in the Dock.

JWF...I can't really answer this question if you mean can it import data from old scrapbooks still in OS 9 as I had already moved my OS 9 stuff to scrapbooks in X some time ago.
In X I tried Pads, Alepin, NotePadDeluxe, NewNotePadPro, Moosepad,iDataPro, Fishpad ... & all of them are good, I think, but iOrganize sort of incorporates the best features of them all for me in one simple to use program. I had already paid for all of these (!) & had upgraded them to X.
The transfer of data to iOrganize was very smooth & maybe the feature that is really valuable to me is that you can, with one stroke, convert every file in the program to a RTFD doc to your Documents folder or desktop for backup.

I use MacJournal 2.1. It's an incredible application -- and it's free, which makes it even better. I've been using it for quite a while now and it's helped me stay really organised.
I've also used iOrganise, but that's not near as good as MacJournal.
