TiPB 500mhz booted in 10.2.3, running some Office v.X apps, Netscape 7, and VPN software ... I was away from the computer for a few minutes, screen had gone dark. Hit the space bar, screen came up, 2-3 seconds later it went to dim and a message appeared.
It was in a gray window with quite a bit of transparency and a "watermark" of the Apple circular power button. The message was that you had to reboot your machine, it appeared in English, German, French, and Japanese and included some instructions on how to reboot (eg push the button) my IP and the network ethernet address.
I have never seen this message or one of a similar style. Is this a new kernel panic message?
Looking in ASProfiler->logs->KP I see that there was an unresolved kernel trap attributable to my VPN software at about this time.

That was indeed the new kernel panic.
Had one recently on my cube for no apparent reason. I simply restarted and all has been well since.

Thanks ice ... because of the unusual style of the message, the fact that I was on line, and my general paronoia I had a few second thoughts before I rebooted ... even though I live behind two firewalls. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
