New to Appleworks and spreadsheets -- I've entered my formula, hit return, and it did the first calculation as intended. Now I want to do same calculation for all my rows, but when I highlight the column and go to Fill Down from Calculate menu, I keep #VALUE in all my fields. What's wrong?

You should post your questions at the AppleWorks User Group:
http://www.awug.org/phpBB2/
They can be very helpful. Also, pick up "AppleWorks 6 ~ The Missing Manual" by Jim Elferdink & David Reynolds. It covers AW 6.2 for OS X.
I do dozens of spreadsheets, but don't use formulas; they're all basically columnar pads on a computer, so I can't answer your question even though I've got the book. Sorry.

Pick up the book anyway...the next time you need to post to AWUG, you'll be better equipped to understand what they're telling you the first time, saving yourself time and building up your confidence. I love spreadsheets!
