Hi to all the mac people!
Recently I got an old used Powerbook G4 15".
Unfortunatley the powerconector on the Powerbook itself somehow got broken.
You know, the part that the powercable connects to on the right side on the back.
I happily disassembled the whole thing.
I am not really an electronics guy, so I don't really know, where to get this part. I do know how to solder, so that would not be the problem.
The only number on the part is "23" but this didn't get me far. Does anybody know the correct Name for this, and where to get it (not necessarily from Apple).

You might want to look at www.pbparts.com. The only power input board the show on their site though says it is only for newer models (quote " Power input circuit board for the 667/800/867/1000 MHz G4 (DVI) Titanium. This power board does not fit the 400/500/550/667(Gigabit) MHz models."). But, you might email or call them and ask about finding what you need.

Hi
At pbparts.com they call it a Power Board but it is technically a DC-In Board. If you have an AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) near you, you may wish to ask on what their pricing is. They will, should, require you to exchange the "bad" part if you do order it through them. I'm not an AASP just yet so I can't give you pricing, etc. I suppose you could always check eBay. Good Luck!
