Hi, I picked up my iBook a couple days ago. I'll be using it as my full time computer and getting rid of my PC, but I've got a large amount of files that I'd like to transfer from the PC (running XP Pro). Is it possible to just run an ethernet cable from the iBook to the PC and somehow be able to share files? I'm totally in the dark on how to do any of this, so any help for my mac newbie self would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You can download a file named "Mac-PC Networking.doc" from my .mac public folder. The membername for access is "varghese1". The document explains the steps to connect up a Mac and PC using Ethernet cable.
If you are not sure how to access .mac public folders, go to Apple site and download and install a programme called "iDisk Utility 1.0". The rest should be easy.
