How do I make a Video CD from an iMovie 3.03 file ?
I don't have an Apple CD burner, I have an external one by TDK.
I have Toast Titanium 5.2
500 mHz G4
What software do I need if any?
Any help would be great!
Thanks,
Bill Tracy

As long as Toast recognizes your CD-burner, you should have everything you need. Basically, you'll need to put the Toast VCD plug-in into a folder that iMovie uses. I don't know which one it is. Once you get that done, there should be an option (from within iMovie) to 'Export to VCD' or something like that.
Once you get the mpg file exported, use Toast to burn the VCD.
Link - Use this link to take a look at the Toast FAQ. There should be a Read Me file in your Toast folder, you should read that too. It should explain everything you need to make a VCD.

what about converting a bin/cue to a toast image.. or extracting so i can get at the mpeg part of it.. to edit.. if for example i have a tv show i recorded to vcd.. and i imaged it into a in/cue fle format on my pc.. is there a way to sxtract the contents of that bin file to get the mpeg back on teh mac.. there are numerous proggies on pc for this..
i want to extract a 2 part vcd and spoof the headers, so i can edit it in final cut and write a dvd in idvd.
Thanks for the insight.

Whoa! That's way beyond my expertise. Too many acronyms and file types.
If you want a better answer, you might want to post that question in the iLife forum. The experts there will be able to help you out.

it's possible to extract the mpeg files from your BIN file, yes. but the only "editing" you'll be able to do is cutting out parts. here's a program that'll let you extract the mpeg from the BIN.

as for editing it in final cut and writing with iDVD.. well, that's pretty much the same as taking a 64kbps MP3, converting it to AIFF, editing it, and converting it back to a 256kbps MP3 - it can be done, but your original source quality won't be great, and the resulting file will look even worse.
