Explorer doesn't render some text combinations well. This may just be that my font preference settings are wrong, but if an italic word is next to a regular style word, the italic will overlap the other word, rendering both unreadable.
I noticed this immediately after switching to OSX, before I made any modifications to the preferences. Also, the same problem persisted in Mozilla and Netscape. I downloaded Safari last week and VIOLA! no problems at all.
I also like the unobtrusive toolbar at the top, and the ability to load drop-down menus of bookmarks in the tool bar. Safari is an excellent browser, IMHO.

Safari, Safari, Safari!
Why? It's so much faster, blocks pop-ups, has tabbed browsing, is really easy to use, has integrated Google search--I can just go on and on.
MSIE is slow. And it's also being discontinued. Microsoft isn't making new versions of it anymore. They'll fix bugs, but that'll be about it. Development has finished--there will be no version 6 or other major versions.
Safari, I believe, ships with new Macs, and will be included with Panther. Also, it will be the default browser in Panther.

Safari. I recently got DSL, and now that I have Safari, I am spoiled beyond belief.
Fast internet, no pop-ups. Gotta love it.

I prefer Safari. However, I keep Explorer around because I sometimes have to access pages that just won't work in any other browser.

I use safari 99% of the time however i find the most recent version more buggy than the latest beta-weird i know. I also use Camino, when Safari doesn't work, and as a last resort-Internet Explorer.
Safari is downloadable and it is SMALL in size compared to other browsers.

Safari!
all the good things are mentioned already, but blocking pop-up windows is the best.

btw, does anyone use Safari Enhancer (I saw it in versiontracker)?

Safari is amazing except that apparently some online banking sites, namely, for one, CityNational's, don't render correctly. But seeing as JonahAU and I are both just heading off to college, doesn't really matter too much to us yet--by the time we need to use the online banking, I'm pretty sure Safari will be able to render correctly.

Safari, by far. When it doesn't work for me (eg. online banking) I use netscape, but I am looking forward to when I can use only Safari.

I use Safari, my daughter uses IE (so she doesn't have to find her registered sites' passwords). Rarely, I need to open Camino or IE for a poorly written site. (What is it with the MS arrogance about standards?)

Safari ... but keep IE in your hip pocket. As has been mentioned in this forum and others, it is critical that Apple continue to improve Safari to eliminate the need to use IE. I still find a considerable number of sites that only will respond correctly thru IE and some that even need a PC and IE!
