I want to set up a Mac behind my router as web server. Whenever I try to access my website using Safari, by putting in my external IP address, it goes to my router's setup page, and that makes sense. How do I set up port fowarding so that the router forwards browsers to a Mac on my networks personal web sharing port?
I'm completely lost.
I have a Netgear RT311 router, if that helps.
Thanks

Thank you for the quick response, but I tried a variation of that last night and it didn't work.
In my Netgear router's manager, which I have to acess via telnet, there is a menu called "SUA Server Setup" which has a list of ports and a corresponding IP address. This is the most like a port forwarding setup menu I could find in the manager. I set up port 80 (HTTP) to forward to a computer on my LAN. But still, when I enter my external (WAN) address in Safari, it only takes me to this basic Netgear router setup page, which means that the router is still not routing port 80 to my computer, the packets don't get past the router at all. How do I fix this????
Thanks.
