what to do with corrupted system folder

I stupidly tried to reinstall the additional print drivers from a 10.0 install disk to my OS 10.15 and completely hosed my system (can't even get the terminal to come up. Anyway I ended up reinstalling on a different hardrive.

My question is, what to do with the old system folder. Can I just trash it? Or should I back up all the files to another drive and wipe the hardrive completely?
