I have an iMac and I know I can attatch a second monitor, but only for mirroring.
Which means that I can see too of the same screen.
I know what you want though. I don' know what 's called though.
I'd assume if my iMac can't do what we want, then neither can the eMac.
No offense.
But I've been wrong before.

Hi
Well...there is Apple's VGA Adapter but than you would also have to find some sort of VGA-to-ADC adapter/cable, which I couldn't seem to find. I think, it is time for you to do a little research and see if you can locate such a cable.

Well, the purpose is this:
I do intend to buy a PowerMac G5 next year with a Formac 2010 Monitor. Since the monitor itself is a big cost factor, I want to buy it this year already - this way i can split the total cost and enjoy a large display before the PowerMac arrives.
.... so what you guys are saying is that I can only do that if I find the adapter cablee mentioned above ?

It might be a very good descision just to stash the money away somewhere to buy the display and g5 together. New and better displays will probably be available when its time to buy the G5. If you buy the G5 and an Apple display concurrently they both qualify for AppleCare exteneded warranties. With a display an extended warranty is vital. Theorehically you can purcahse Formac 2010 and run it on your emac, but it requires conversion boxes and mini VGA to VGA and DVI to ADC adapters which would run you $500 plus. Save the $500 and stash the extra money to get a bigger better display down the line. Hope this helps.
