Error 6

every time i try and burn a disc on my IMAC w/super drive i get a disc error 6. Any sugestions. it does not matter what app. i am trying to burn from

Error 6 is an "overflow trap error." Not sure, but perhaps the answer is in your post, that is, are you trying to burn a file that is open in an application? I don't believe you can burn open files.
