As those who frequent this forum are probably well aware, I am hopeless at html code, as I have not hidden the fact. This time, I need input rapid.
I have gone through Dreamweaver MX's Missing Manual and cannot find any code for a hit counter. I may just be reading with my eyes shut.
There is no way I'm going to out source a hit counter from a provider as they generally have strings attached and naff designs (sorry if anyone here designs them, but it's true IMO /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif).
I don't need any of the database stuff as there are no log ins or subscriptions or things to sell etc... I just want to put a nice counter on a hidden page that blends in with the client's imagery.
Thanks in advance.

Stu,
You can not make a hit counter with HTML or Javascript as you will have to store the counter data on the server. You don't need a database, to do this, but you will need a server side scripting language, like PHP. If you have access to a SS language, do a search on the web for a free counter script in that language.

Oh well, I'll do that then.
Cheers Mark.
