Hello,
I've searched high and low for an answer to my connection problems using a WIN2000Pro PC on a PC MACLAN network (ethernet) with a G4 running OSX (10.2.6). I am unable to connect to the Mac from the PC, and also unable to connect to the PC from OSX. YET while in Classic (9.2.2) which I run constantly because of QuarkXpress, I can go to Chooser and connect with no problems to the PC.
Any ideas? Thanks...

You shouldn't need MacLan to connect through OS X. Go to System Preferences, Sharing, Select the Services tab, and make sure that "Windows File Sharing" is selected.

The reason for PC MACLAN is that this is a print shop and the WIN2000 machine is the server for our printing system (both proofing and direct to plate). The PC is also the online machine (cable ISP) and we receive jobs via email. It would be so much easier to do a direct transfer to the MAC right after receiving the file than to have to go to Classic and access the PC. Well, at least it works that way; better than not at all. (We were transferring files via CD-RW until the switch to OSX; our Que! drive on the MAC became unusable with OSX and Toast 4. We are in the middle of renovations and can't justify the upgrade on Toast...)
Thanks...
