Hello to you all! I wonder if anyone can help me with a problem:
I look after the macs in our college. We are running a mix of G3s and G4s all of which have been upgraded to OS 10.2.6. For internet browsing we are using MS Internet Explorer (Latest version - 5.2.3, I think). All of the students share a single "Student" account. Only when accessing the internet are they asked for a username / password - the network is mostly Win2K, and all traffic goes through a web proxy.
I have been asked by the head of our IT dept. to customize IE to remove the check box that retains the student's password ( "Remember Password").
Is this possible? Can anyone suggest a browser that would allow me to perform this minor surgery? I know that MS are halting IE for mac, but I need to maintain some compatibility with the windows network and our VLE.
Many thanks, in advance, for taking the time to help me with my problem,
Tom

You could try using ResEdit in OS 9 (or maybe Classic) to alter the dialog box if you can find it, but it could also be hard coded. I'm also not sure what happens when the program puts up a dialog expecting a response and then doesn't get it (maybe just delete the Yes button if you find it?). I also have no idea how, or even if at all, such a change would affect the OS X version.
