Hi can you tell me if there is a way i can use a NEX ia MP3/ mass storage device with an ibook, it is picked uped no problem but it is seen as a READ only device ?
Is there any work arrounds for this or software .

It doesn't appear that Frontier Labs supports the Mac, at least not officially. From what limited info I could find at Apple, it doesn't look like it's an officially supported device there.
Possibly, because it's not a disk-based player like the iPod, it just doesn't have that functionality. After all, the iPod is basically a FireWire hard drive with the music hardware/software tacked on. I would check the spec sheets and manuals for the player, they're on the manufacturer's site.
If the player uses removable media such as MMC, Secure Digital etc., you may be able to use a USB card reader to shuttle the data back and forth(?), rather like you would a digital camera.
