I'm curious what upload speed are other people getting towards the .mac / idisk server?
This weekend I uploaded 12MB of images & html files and it took 2 hours. Same slow experience as other times, using cable internet I only get dialup upload towards .mac. Looking at the outbound network speed it averaged around 6KB/s with lows of 1KB and highs of 10KB, but overall majority was 5-6KB/s. This while my 150kbps capped upload should allow me like about 20KB/s effective.
I've inquired about it in the past in the apple .mac discussion section, but they point to various known things like distance from servers, ADSL / Cable connectivity differences, ... nobody seems to get an answer to what speed one should be getting ideally. That's why I hope to shed a light on it this way.
Thanks in advance,
