What I'm about to list are problems I've been experiencing with Safari and basically I want to know if you are too.
Number One
I've been trying to buy computer T-Shirts from Think-Geek, which sells computer related clothing and accessories. But when I place a order and check it out Safari basically redirects to the page but redirects backs and this happens about ten times and then it gets an error.
Number Two
I could not download the update for FPC4, Safari told me it was not valid, but it was.
Number Three
I also find there to be plugins missing too. On http://www.wmba.org/ I can't see the photo galleries. Can you?
This is it for me what about you??
P.S all of these issues were resolved with M$ IE

1- Sounds programming related, not Safari related. Perhaps bad code on the site or Safari incompatible?
2- maybe yo ucan send a bug report to apple- i dont have fcp.
3- The galleries are under construction (9/16/03-4:39EST)

Well that sure goes to show the last time I was there.
The formatting of the photos they use might not be readable by Safari. Do you are any one know the compatibility of Safari. I called apple about the FPC update and they just told me to use a different browser.
Edit: The Think-Geek Site works on IE so maybe it's not compatible with Safari.

1) What is "FPC4"?
2) The problems I have with Safari is that sooner or later when using it, it will "Unexpectedly Quit". I've tried deleting the prefs file, but that doesn't seem to make any difference.
Also, the "newest" Java update ("Java 1.4.1 Update 1") causes my Safari to lock up and/or crash whenever a Java app is launched, including apps that are required in some of the chat rooms I use; see my posting under "PLEASE HELP!"
This "latest" version of Java is obviously buggy.

Pretty much my only problem with safari is that with certain javascript/dhtml controlled menus used on the homepages of credit card companies & banks; I can never access the secondary columns of the menu structure. The drop menu rolls out fine, but anything further than that appears distorted and is not clickable. Still hoping for Apple to fix that. The recent JAVA update didn't solve it.
That's pretty much the only time I'm actually obliged to use IE.
On the NetFlix homepage Safari does not correctly refresh (?) / display a page after you rate a movie by clicking on one of the 5 stars. Safari sends the rating out and then you are left with a blank page & long url in the address box.
Images-wise I think Apple supports all common web formats (jpg, gif, png, ...)

I'd be shocked if a Java update fixed a javascript problem. They're completely different things! They're completely unrelated except for the fact that Javascript can control Java in some ways.

How true! My mistake - duh.
While I was posting I just happened to remember I read something in the auto update screen like: "java update blank blank improved blank blank safari blank blank etc" ... and I threw that in there. Time for more coffee? ;-)

Sometimes I find removing the popup blocker makes some sites work. Some sites, after they load, are blank but open a popup and you have to click enter to get in.
www.perfectdark.com
click that address, it opens up a popup asking for your birthdate before you can enter (Its a video game website).
Also, some sites might load a blank page and open a popup telling you that you are leaving their site, and that they aren't responsible for the content, etc
