OK. So the Magenta Head was clogged. After 5 cleanings it stopped being clogged. After setting everything the way you suggested. The color is still off. When using no Color Sdjustment from Print->Color Manager I'm getting too much magenta. If I use Color Controls It is 20x worse. Any ideas?
Cheers.

Hmmm... I'm beginning to run out of ideas. I guess it's possible you have a bum printer but I still suspect workflow issues. Don't think this has been asked - specifically, what paper are you using?
To reiterate -
Good monitor profile
Good printer (paper) profile
Correct paper for that profile
+
Correct workflow
=
Fairly accurate prints
Tell me again about your workflow.
What monitor profile is loaded under Apple's Display prefs?
Photoshop:
What source profile are you working in?
Under the Print with Preview dialog:
What is your Source Space?
What is your Print Space?
Under Epson's dialog:
Print Settings - what media type? (And what paper are you using?)
Color Management - what's it set to?
Taking screen shots of each dialog and then posting them might be helpful.

OK.
I'm using Ilsford papers that are supposed to work well with the Epson paper profiles. When I still had Epson paper around I couldn't see much of a diff between the Ilsford and the Epson paper.
Monitor profile is generated by my Spyder thingy.
Paper Profile is the Epson 1280 High Quality Gloss Paper (or what ever it's called)
Thanks for all your time and effort.

Macworld's forums don't allow images. You'd have to put the images on the web and supply the link. (use jpeg)
Paper can have a drastic effect on print quality. Are you using the right Epson profile that's "supposed to work"? Unless you know for sure that whatever paper profile you're using works with your Ilford paper, I'd suggest getting some Epson paper (the Archival Matte is really cheap) and then try printing using the associated Epson profile.

I found some large format Epson paper around which I cut down. The highlights/contrast is better on the Epson paper, color is just as bad or worse. Ilford is going to release ICC profiles for the 1280 and the Mac sometime this year, so we'll see if that helps. In the mean time I'm not doing any catalogues so I guess I can live with the color being a little too warm.
Thanks again for all your help.
Cheers.
