Newer Bigger iDVD2 problem

A little while ago I posted a question about looping background audio-- but I have a newer bigger problem.
I have the newest version of iMovie, and as I was trying out some of the features--haven't used it yet, but I plan to this weekend--it doesn't seem to want to export to iDVD 2!!
Aah! What am I missing here?! Am I not going to be able to do this at all!?

Look in your iMovie project folder. There should be a proxy QT movie of your project in there. You can drag this movie file into iDVD to begin authoring.

The iApps only like to work together, as far as I know. This means that if you are using iMovie3, you'll need iDVD3 as well for direct exporting. You can still export as quicktime and then re import it into idvd, but its not as quick or seemless as you would like.
