Software Update

What gives? I'm trying to run Software Update and keep getting "Software Update is not able to connect to the Internet. Please check your configuration and try again." However, as should be readily apparent, I am able to connect to the Internet (through IE, Entourage, Fetch, even Terminal).
Any ideas?
[Shortly thereafter] For some reason it works now. Perhaps the problem was on Apple's side since I was trying to update iTunes...
