Is there a resource or pointer that helps me learn two things:
1. I want t burn select iTunes music to disc so that my wife can play the music I buy on her Bose Wave station... I thought I was licensed for three places. I've tried but get an error that says I am unable to burn slected music.
2. I want to share my iTunes or select music with other Macs on a home network
Trust me, Apple, I'm not interested in mass production or pirating the darn stuff. I bought it... I just want to use it outside of the iPod. Old questions I'm sure. I appreciate the pointer....

There's lots of information in iTunes' Help menu.

First make sure your preferences are set correctly: go into the iTunes preferences and go to the Burning tab. Make sure your CD burner is selected, and make sure the Disc Format is set to Audio Disc.
Burning music from iTunes to CD is very simple. First, create a playlist in iTunes containing the songs you want to put on the CD. Then highlight that playlist and click the Burn button in the upper right corner of the iTunes window. At that point iTunes will prompt you to insert a blank CD and you should be all set.
With music you've purchased from the iTunes Music Store, you can indeed play it on up to 3 computers and burn it onto an unlimited number of CDs. If the computer you are attempting to play the music on is not authorized, you will be prompted to authorize the computer when you try to play a protected song. Simply enter your Apple account and password when prompted to authorize the computer. You may have to do this before attempting to burn the CD if the computer you're burning from isn't authorized.
Sharing your music library over your home network is even easier. Simply go into your iTunes preferences and click on the Sharing tab. Check the box that says "Share my music" and once you do that you can choose to share your entire library or just certain playlists. You can also specify the name of your shared library and you can specify a password to access the shared music if you so desire.
Up to 5 computers at a time should be able to connect to this share and stream the music at any one time. Once you have the music shared, the share should automatically show up whenever you open iTunes on another machine. You'll see the shared library name over in the playlist area of iTunes.
Hope this is helpful. You might also check the iTunes help file, as it should have pretty good info on all this stuff too.

Problem solved: Thank you.
Of all things, I had my burn default set to the wrong player and format.
I appreciate your patience.
