iMovie plugin problem

Hope someone can help...On opening iMovie, I get a message which says "Something is wrong with the plugin Localized.rsrc " I've tried to repair permissions and also rebooted, and it still comes up. I'm running 10.2.6 on a 500 iMac. I'm also having problems burning a VCD from iMovie, using Toast. I don't know if these problems are related, but I'm getting frustrated....Thanks in advance for any help.
