Hi Everyone,
I have problem in deleting or copying a file.
When I delete it, a dialog box reads the following:-
The item file name is being used by another task right now.
(other tasks include moving, copying, or emptying the Trash.)
Try again when the other task is complete
When I copy it to any folder or disk, it reads:-
The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient
privileges for file name
I have tried the Login as root user and the utility BatChmond methods which are no use. The file is still on my desktop without any change.
I am very frustrated because I have spent many many hours on this already. I am rally baffled because I have just downloaded this demo file the other day and I'm the only user of this computer.
What should I do to eliminate this file? I have emailed Apple several times but there is no one single reply.
I appreciate it if you could assist me.
I am using Apple G4 1.42 GHZ Dual Processors with 2 GB Ram. OS 10.2.8
Thank you and best regards,
Simon Ho

In the OS X Forum there is a FAQ page listed at the top of the menu. Your problem is the first one discussed.
