I don`t know about you guys but i always, by mistake, hit the red bubble with the X in it in Safari instead of clicking the back arrow! I think that a horrible place for the close button. Is there anyway of disabling that and shutting down Safari some other way ? Thanks in advance for any info !

Instead of hitting the back button try using the Apple & left/right arrow keys (easy to remember and convenient).

Or use a mouse with side buttons to navigate previous and next page.

Or backspace and shift/backspace to go back and forth.

I think command -q is used waaay to often in this new OS we have today. Since the new OS is truly multiasking you can leave 10-15 apps open all the time without worrying about the system crashing.People are so used to quitting applications instead of leaving them open. Are you using Panther?

Yeah, I'm using panther. I still haven't gotten used to the powerbook's keyboard. I am on dialup so I often open many pages at once so they can load while I am reading others. Not much is more frustrating then having 9-10 tabs of pages to read and hitting cmd+q and losing them all.

There are shareware apps that open up Safari with all the tabs and windows as they were when you quit safari. I'm not sure of its name, try searching www.versiontracker.com

command-[ to go Back (this may be pressed repeatedly without waiting for the page to come up, Safari will remember how many pages back you want to go)
command-] to go Forward
shift-command-h to go to your Home page
command-w to close the active window
command-q to quit the application
